Rebecca and Wyne first contacted me in January of 2013. They had booked the Piersland House Hotel for their wedding reception on the 5th April 2014 and were looking for a DJ who could host the evening reception and be able to teach their guests some ceilidh dances too. We arranged a meeting at their house and went over their ideas for their night. I cannot stress the importance of a meeting with your DJ, this way you get to see the personality of the DJ and you get to personalise the entertainment for the most important day of your lives.
Well, I secured the booking and what a night they had. Everyone got involved in the ceilidh and the dance floor was full all night long.
TESTIMONIAL left by Rebecca and Wyne
“We want to say a big thanks and well done. We really enjoyed your entertainment as did our guests. You provided a very courteous and professional service and we would have no hesitation in recommending you to friends and family. Wayne & Rebecca”
It’s always a nice drive down to Troon to entertain at the Piersland House Hotel. This time it was to entertain at Kayleigh & Darren Campbell’s wedding reception on the 19th October 2013.
The night kicked off with the announcement of the newly wed to cut their wedding cake. This was followed by them taking the floor for the first time as husband and wife. The night then jumped in to party mood. Even a broken leg didn’t stop one of the guests hopping to the floor. There was a large body of pipers in attendance and the music was paused for a while whilst everyone was treated to some popular tunes on the pipes by various guests. The disco kicked off again and the night ended at midnight with the Scottish traditional Loch Lomond.
” Had an absolute amazing night! Couldn’t have asked for better! Would defo recommend you to our family and friends. I will be using you again for any up and coming events I have! Thank you! “
Jenna Ruberti, a wedding planner in America booked me to supply wedding breakfast music and microphone for speeches and evening entertainment for a couple she was looking after. Coming over from Texas you can imagine all the Texans wanting to find out what ceilidh dancing was all about and I was looking forward to talking them through the dances and calling the dances keeping them in time with the music.
On the 10th August 2013 it was Cherri & Tom McGhie’s big day, and they wanted to flavor everything Scotland had to show them. It was a lovely day, slightly overcast just right for outdoor pictures.
The venue had just been bought over and is being ran by new management and unfortunately it did show on the day. I am sure they have stepped up to the plate by now though. Fantastic setting for a wedding.
Rebecca and David Montgomery’s wedding reception was held at the Piersland House Hotel in Troon Ayrshire on the 25th May 2013. The venue is well known for quality food and drink at reasonable prices too I might add. The gardens are spectacular when the Scottish weather is kind to you. And if not there is plenty room in the conservatory area.
The night went well with everyone getting a chance to have a dance on the dance floor and I received good feedback too, see below.
Thank you for making Rebecca and David’s wedding day special, it was the finish to an already wonderful day. You made sure all the guests enjoyed themselves and the dance floor was busy all night. The shoe game was great fun and added an extra special touch; I have already recommended you to friends.
Feedback from Mother of the Groom

Julie and John Boyd’s wedding reception was held on the 15th September 2012 at the Burnhouse Manor Hotel near Beith in Ayrshire.
It was a night of fun music and great dancing, a bit of music played for everyone as it were. Cheesy music to pop and charts, we must have played them all. I am sure everyone went home happy at the end of the night with some great memories.
The pictures that were taken on the night were uploaded to my Facebook page, so if you want to see them just click on the link below..
Kim and Gary Corrigan’s wedding reception was held at the Fenwick Hotel in Kilmarnock on the 12th August 2012.
I had a client meeting with Kim and Gary before their day so I knew exactly what they wanted and I was in a position to deliver. The meal ran smoothly and I don’t think I heard one bad word about the hotel. I played a selection of easy listening swing music and songs all about a loving couple in the words. It seemed to go down well.?
The night started as a kids party. They were everywhere, and one girl was a real handful and one of the ladies had to run after her all the time. I was told the poor dear has autism. The kids had a ball jumping all over the dance floor making as much noise as they can.. Well that’s generally what they do..?? LOL
10.00pm came and it was time for the kids to go to bed and let the big kid’s have a shot..! It was a great night and as the testimonial says below, they were never off the dance floor. The pictures taken on the night can be viewed on my Facebook page by clicking the link below.
Thank you so much for the entertainment at our wedding. You have been great from the start with organising what we want, right up to the big day. We loved the music throughout the meal, which was a great conversation starter and ice breaker. The disco had everyone dancing from the kids right up to the old yins! We had lots of great comments about the music and most of all, we were never off the dance floor. Thanks again for making our wedding day even more enjoyable. Gary and Kim
Linda & Dave Simmonds Celebrated their wedding reception at the Brig ‘O’ Doon Hotel, Alloway in Ayrshire on the 3rd August 2012. The wedding reception entertainment was supplied by DJ Shuggy and we had a great night with Rock, Pop, Cheese, and even some Ceilidh music thrown in for good measure.

Sheena & Colin McGuigan’s Wedding was held at the Western House Hotel in Ayr, Ayrshire on the 12th July 2012. If you have the slightest interest in horse racing this is the ideal venue to look at. Hi Hugh, We both wanted to thank you so much for helping to make our wedding reception such a great night! The dance floor was packed all night and the diversity of the music made sure that all of our guests, young and old enjoyed it. All of our guests have commented on what a brilliant night it was and we’re sure that your talents made a massive contribution to that. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you as you’ve been so professional and easy to deal with from start to finish. We loved being able to list our favourite tracks on our web account and the extensive collection of music that you have meant that all of our guests were able to make requests on the night. Many thanks again, kind regards Sheena and Colin xxx
Susan and Stephen Bristow held their wedding reception at the Lochside House Hotel in New Cumnock on the 15th July 2012. It was a day of sunshine and showers, but if you look at the pictures taken on the night you will see that they dodged most of the bad weather. it was a small intimate wedding, close family and friends and everyone made the most of a reason to party. As usual i was able to play all their requests on the night and everyone appeared to have a ball.
