Wedding Host and DJ Glasgow
Selena & Kenneth Mooney’s wedding
Selena & Kenneth booked my “Ultimate Wedding Package” for their wedding day on the 20th April 2014 and it was my pleasure to play a part in their big day. They initially contacted me in April 2013 saying they were looking for a bit more than just a DJ. I explained what my Ultimate Wedding package included and they said that was exactly what they were looking for and the booking was confirmed. Over that following year we met and went over all the fine details of time line and who was doing what on the day.
On the day I had the pleasure to meet Peter Macdonald for the first time. He was the celebrant chosen by Selena and Kenneth, and a mighty good choice they made. He was lighthearted and funny and serious at he same time. He engaged the younger in attendance and provided a beautiful ceremony.
The day went by with everything running on time and a great party in the evening finished off a great day.
TESTIMONIAL left by Selena & Kenneth
“Hugh was fantastic as our wedding host, from before the ceremony to the very end of the evening, he showed his enthusiasm to make our day go seamlessly, always available for questions and able to provide an answer using his experience of so many weddings over the years which was of great comfort to both the bride and groom. Keeping the guests entertained for what was a long day is a great skill, also keeping them informed of the schedule and times etc at various points helped a great deal. All in all, we would highly recommend Hugh as a wedding host, he was the glue that held the innumerable amount of pieces that a wedding consists of, together.”
Wedding DJ Piersland House Hotel
Rebecca and David Montgomery’s wedding reception was held at the Piersland House Hotel in Troon Ayrshire on the 25th May 2013. The venue is well known for quality food and drink at reasonable prices too I might add. The gardens are spectacular when the Scottish weather is kind to you. And if not there is plenty room in the conservatory area.
The night went well with everyone getting a chance to have a dance on the dance floor and I received good feedback too, see below.

Thank you for making Rebecca and David’s wedding day special, it was the finish to an already wonderful day. You made sure all the guests enjoyed themselves and the dance floor was busy all night. The shoe game was great fun and added an extra special touch; I have already recommended you to friends.

Wedding at Moffat House Hotel
Nicola and Gianni Lawson’s wedding reception was held at the Moffat House Hotel in Dumfries on the 3rd May 2013. It’s a family ran Best Western hotel situated on the main street in Moffat with a fantastic garden out the back with some really old trees. In a nice day it’s perfect for garden parties.
I was lucky enough to be asked to supply the entertainment on the day to a great crowd of eager guests. We had a bit of ceilidh, old classics and some more up to date tunes too.. Some music for everyone as they say.
As always t took pictures on the day and you can see them here. Nicola and Gianni’s Pictures

Wedding Disco in Rutherglen Town Hall
Jennifer and Barry Hope’s Wedding Reception Ceilidh Disco was held at the Rutherglen town hall on the 21st September 2012. It is a fantastic venue, full of character and has friendly staff. It was Kim that was the manager on this night, we work well together every time I entertain at the venue. It’s definitely worth a look at for your venue if you haven’t decided yet..?
Once again a great night was had by all and all the pictures taken on the night have been uploaded to my Facebook page. Click on the link below if you want to see them.
The music supplied by Hugh on the night really made it special and got people up dancing of all ages. The ceilidh was very well organised by Hugh who had to give the UN-coordinated Groom a helping hand. The novelty of choosing part of the play list for your guests was great and when people recognised ‘their song’ being played, it made their night even more so. Hugh was very professional looking on the night and after the wedding people commented on this and of the high quality of service he provided. The photographs and video are great and shows people naturally having fun with no preempted posing. Lastly we will recommend Hugh to anyone looking for a DJ and I’ve already done this to a colleague. Thanks again Hugh, you were one of the components that made our day special. Hope to use you again for any family functions. Barry and Jennifer Hope.

Wedding Disco at Hamilton Park Racecourse
Another Wedding Reception Ceilidh Disco at the Hamilton Park Racecourse. It was Linda and Vincent Bryson’s wedding day, in the marquee on the grounds of the racecourse on the 1st September 2012.
As usual at this venue I turn up in the morning set all the equipment up and get the sound checks done. It’s really strict there as they have had complains about noise pollution. As a result they have invested in their own speaker system that all bands and DJs have to use and the levels are monitored through out the performance on the night. I would return just before the wedding breakfast was finished.
I came back and got myself ready and started to see the guests.. Well what a small world it turned out to be…? First I met a few people that I knew from and worked with in the past, then it turned out I worked with the GROOMS MUM..!! Yes I worked with her years ago in a garage in Rutherglen. Small World..!!
The night was great, there was Rock, Pop, Cheese and Ceilidh, and everyone made their presence on the dance floor at least once. The pictures that were taken on the night have been uploaded to my Facebook page feel free to look at them by clicking the link below..

Wedding at Hamilton Park Racecourse
Kerrie Ann and Garry Murray’s wedding was held in a marquee at Hamiltion park Racecourse on the 10th August 2012.
I was booked to supply an evening’s wedding entertainment with general Wedding Disco Music and Traditional Ceilidh Music and Ceilidh Caller too. I set up the disco in the morning and returned later on just as they were finishing their wedding breakfast.
After the wedding breakfast the curtains were pulled back to reveal the disco and dance floor and I announced the bride and groom to the floor for the first dance. The wedding party joined in and everyone jumped in on the second song. The night was a great success, everyone enjoying the ceilidh music and mixing with other wedding guests.
You can see all the fun on the night by looking at the pictures taken on the night. They have been uploaded to may Facebook page and can be found by clicking on the link below.
