Selena & Kenneth booked my “Ultimate Wedding Package” for their wedding day on the 20th April 2014 and it was my pleasure to play a part in their big day. They initially contacted me in April 2013 saying they were looking for a bit more than just a DJ. I explained what my Ultimate Wedding package included and they said that was exactly what they were looking for and the booking was confirmed. Over that following year we met and went over all the fine details of time line and who was doing what on the day.
On the day I had the pleasure to meet Peter Macdonald for the first time. He was the celebrant chosen by Selena and Kenneth, and a mighty good choice they made. He was lighthearted and funny and serious at he same time. He engaged the younger in attendance and provided a beautiful ceremony.
The day went by with everything running on time and a great party in the evening finished off a great day.

“Hugh was fantastic as our wedding host, from before the ceremony to the very end of the evening, he showed his enthusiasm to make our day go seamlessly, always available for questions and able to provide an answer using his experience of so many weddings over the years which was of great comfort to both the bride and groom. Keeping the guests entertained for what was a long day is a great skill, also keeping them informed of the schedule and times etc at various points helped a great deal. All in all, we would highly recommend Hugh as a wedding host, he was the glue that held the innumerable amount of pieces that a wedding consists of, together.”
Graham & Kirsty booked my services for their wedding on the 22nd March 2014 at Port Glasgow Town Hall. They booked me for their “all day service” including background music during their wedding breakfast, microphones for speeches, evening reception disco and of course myself as their master of ceremonies for the day and entertainments host in the evening.
Working with them on the run up to their day was so easy as they are a lovely couple, and we had a couple of meetings to go over everything to make sure their day went just right.
It was a red and black theme on the day with lots of personalised center pieces on the tables and the meal supplied by the catering staff was just perfect. The night kicked off with Graham & Kirsty‘s first dance. Now I’m not going to give away any trade secrets here, but safe to say Kirsty was so impressed she was overwhelmed, and said it was the highlight of her night.
If you want to know what i did to make her so happy, contact me for your wedding and I’ll let you in on my wedding ideas.
” I’d just like to give you a HUGE thank you the entertainment provided on the wedding night, I had nothing but compliments about the music and especially the first dance, you managed to make that more memorable and special than we could ever possible imagine so thank you so much. We’ll be sure to leave official feedback on the site later on today ”

” Hugh was my master of ceremonies and provided music for the whole day. I received nothing but compliments from guests about how good the music was, how easy things flowed and I owe that all to Hugh. Our first dance was the highlight of the night and is still talked about by all of our guests. I couldn’t have asked for a better entertainer, definitely good value for money and HIGHLY recommended! “
Elaine and Garry celebrated their wedding in the Bothwell Bridge Hotel in Bothwell, Glasgow on the first of March 2014. The hall was decorated lovely and they had a fantastic turnout of friends and family for their special day.
It was my pleasure to introduce Elaine and Garry to the dance floor for their 1st official dance as husband and wife. I presses play and INXS – Never tell us apart played as they swayed to the music. After the 1st dance I invited Elaine’s dad “John” to have the honour of a Father Daughter dance. Everyone commented how sweet it was as they danced round the dance floor to Israel Kamakawiwo’ole’s version of Somewhere Over The Rainbow.
The venue is owned by an Italian family “The Martalo” family. They also own the Avonbridge in Hamilton too. both hotels have plenty of reasonable priced rooms. A bit dated but clean and fresh, and I have never had any issues working with them.
Stephanie & Mark Griffin celebrated their wedding reception at the Colzium House in Kilsyth in bonny Scotland on the 15th February 2014 to a packed hall of friends and family.
The happy couple gave me a play list of their musical choices for their night and it definitely had a strong indie rock flavour. From the Beatles to the Fratellis, Bon Jovi to Arctic Monkeys. The floor rocked all night long.
This was my first trip to the venue, and i have to say i was impressed. The staff were amazing, working with them was a dream, and the stone walls in the hall just made the hall what it is. I would live to play there again.

” Hi Hugh. Thanks so much for everything on Saturday, just getting back to normal now! I’ll keep your details for the future.
Claire and Owen Leslie held their wedding ceremony and reception at the fabulous Airth Castle in Stirlingshire, seen high up on the left of the motorway heading north to the Kincardine bridge. It was the 1st February 2014 and I was given the honour to entertain for them on the day.
Claire and Owen requested a bit of ceilidh at the start and then to dance the night away to a variety of songs for everyone from Frank Sinatra to Beyonce. And they had the traditional Loch Lomond ending to the night.
The castle is perfect for smaller intimate weddings, but the venue also has a larger more modern hotel complex that can accommodate much larger weddings.
