Wedding Disco in Port Glasgow Town Hall

Tonight’s wedding was at the Port Glasgow Town Hall on the 13th August 2011, I arrived just after 10.00am and got set up my disco on the stage..  The place was buzzing with wedding suppliers all trying to get on with their work without getting in the way of others and it worked out really well…..  I was all set up, sound checked and out long before the wedding party arrived.

It was Lyndsay & Chris Mckillop’s Wedding Reception on the day but I happened to recognise a lot of the quests….??   I had supplied the wedding disco at the Port Glasgow Town Hall for Lyndsay’s brother “Ryan” on the 27th June 2009 and she liked what she saw and booked me for her big day too.

I called back to the town hall about 6.45pm to get my systems up and running and to program the couples play list in to the system before the start of the night only to bump in to Chris as soon as I walked through the door.  I need two microphones for the speeches he said, “No Problem" I replied and switched the equipment on.  Apparently there were two Best Men doing a speech bouncing off each other and it really went down well.

After the hall was turned round and the floor swept I announced the Bride and Groom into the hall again for the first song, “Bruno Mars – Just the way you are” to a delighted audience.  Lots of people were taking photographs and I announced the bridal party to join the bride and groom on the dance floor.  The night went well and everyone was dancing away all night long right up to 12.30am when I announced the last song…..

Lyndsay’s brother Ryan said, “You did it again Shuggy”, two cracking nights… And the bride and groom were very thankful too.
