Wedding Disco at Glenbervie House Hotel
This was my first visit to the Glenbervie House Hotel in Stirlingshire and I have to say I was surprised at finding such a fabulous wedding venue and questioned why I had not been to it before.?? Situated just off of the M876 it could not have been any easier to find and the weather being kind on the day gave the opportunity for some stunning photographs.
It was the 5th August 2011 that Margaret and Andrew Bain celebrated their wedding day at the Glenbervie House Hotel, and they had guests from far and wide to see them on their very special day. I was told that I would have access from 7.00pm and that the first dance would be about 8.00pm Yeh.. heard it all before…!!! They were running a bit late and it was about 7.45pm before they started to leave the room to have it turned round for the evening reception.. Just as well it was a 1.00am finish or it would have been a short night..
The venue staff cleaned up the floor and laid the dance floor in front of the area where I was setting up.. For all your DJs that are reading this, it really is an easy in and out with your kit..
Once the staff had the hall ready the guests were asked to come back in and the bride and groom proceeded to cut their wedding cake with a sword. All the guests managed to get a photograph before the cake was taken away to be cut into pieces for the buffet. I then announced the new Mr & Mrs Bain on to the dance floor for the first dance “Leona Lewis – Footprint in the sands” and half way through I asked the rest of the bridal party on to the floor with the bride and groom.
The mood on the night was “let’s party” with the dance floor never empty and every request was played, even if it was the same one twice a few times…!!
The night ended with the traditional “Runrig – Loch Lomond” and the guests were prompted to get on one of the two busses laid on to take them home.
