Alana and Bobby McGillivray celebrated their wedding at a reception held in the Old Monkland Community Centre, Coatbridge on the 23rd July 2011, it was a good sized hall and I’m sure the couple were pleased to see it full of friends and family.
The couple didn’t give me a play list for the night, they were quite happy for me to do my job and play bouncy tunes that would have everyone happy.. however they chose “Celine Dion – the power of love” at their first song. It was a good night with no ceilidh this time, they weren’t in to that kind of music but by the end of the night I had played swing, rock n roll, country, rock and chart music.. A bit for everyone as you would say..
I am sure all the guests had a good night because they were on the floor dancing away all night long.
